RockBottom-- This song came about because last year was a rough year for me. I went through a period where the stress levels were throught the roof and I stopped recording and doing shows for a little while to get myself back on track. The production on this song is a strong bass heavy drum track with the hi hats going in and out every four bars for a different effect. Guitar player Byron Nemeth plays bass guitar on the chorus as well.Vincenzo joined me on this song. He is a local artist who was nominated for a Scene Music Award and an Ohio Hip-Hop Award last year. BackSeat-- This song is about talking to a girl. Its basically a fun song with a great hard driving beat. The production on this song has piano, violin and a strong drum track behind. This song features Vincenzo,Ill eagle who is a very well known hip-Hop artist around Ohio and Garbs Infinite who is another well known artist in Ohio. Power and Money-- This song is not just a typical Hip-Hop song about "Gettin' Paid". It has a message behind it if you listen to the lyrics on both verses. The message is that you should save money. Between women and spending on needless items, a person can waste a ton of money that could have been saved for the future. The production on this song features deep horns with a heavy bass line and strong drum track. I also sampled rapper Coolio's voice for the chorus. Are You Tough?-- This song is your typical Hip-Hop song. What makes it stand out is the lyrics and the way we flow on the track. Its basically about bragging and people talking behind your back. This track features an artist named KingDom. He is an upcoming artist from Ohio that belongs to a crew called O.D.O.T. that also features Copywrite (another nationally known artist). KingDom was nominated for an Ohio Hip-Hop award last year. The production on this track features a strong bass line with piano and a heavy pounding drum track. Some Girls-- I like this song because it has a catchy beat and playful subject matter. Its about women who cheat on their husband or boyfriend to be with another man. This song features a group from Akron named Team Tuck. The production features a heavy bass lines with several layers of horn tracks in the mix. Where ya At?-- This song is about how alot of Hip-Hop now on the radio absolutely sucks. Most of this suck music comes from the south. So Im asking why is all this crappy music coming from the south? What happened to the good music that used to come from the East, West and Midwest? The production on this song features horns with a deep bass line and heavy drum track behind it all. |
