NDN Head is a talented artist and producer in World music.

At what point in your life did you realize you were musical?
I realized I was musical when I started learning guitar. Everything just came so naturally and easy for me and I really enjoyed the noise I was making.
What is the music scene like where you live?
I'm not to sure what the scenes like where I live currently, all my life I've moved from state to state and experienced different types of music cultures, but an overall look at where I've lived I would have to say Traditional Native American music, Hip Hop and Heavy Metal were what set the locals crazy for a good time.
What does the name NDN Head mean?
Indian Head is what I called my art portfolio in art school because I liked to draw face portraits, and I liked the name so much I made it my artist name but changed Indian to NDN, thought it was pretty cool.
Do you consider yourself more of a producer who wants to produce for others, or more of an instrumental musician doing your own songs?
I consider myself an Instrumentalist musician making my own songs, but I wanna start producing and collabing more with fellow artists because that's what I'm going to school for and I think the music we would make would be awesome!
Where do you record?
I have a little. mobile studio where I make all my music and help fellow artists record whatever they want
What is in your arsenal of music equipment that you use to create your songs?
I have a Mac with Logic Studio, Komplete 8 software, a Sennheiser Mic, one by Apogee Interface, Cerwin-Vega speakers, and a Akai midi keyboard, along with 3 guitars and a Line 6 amplifier.
Your style is very versatile. Going from straight up World music to Hip-Hop, to a World/Hip-Hop mix. What is your music creating process?
With my flute music, I take whatever I'm feeling at the time and translate it into song by improvisation, In my Hip-Hop instrumentals, I take a bass line and build a beat around it along with other instruments until I like how it sounds.
What do you listen to in your private time?
Lately I've been listening to Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Skrillex, Deadmau5, and Drake.
What is your fan base like? More Hip-Hop people or World people?
Right now I have mostly World fans which is awesome. I love all the different cultures that comes with World music. One of my favorite things is cultural exchanges where we share each others culture, music and dances.
What can we expect from you in the future?
You can expect more Native American Flute songs and Hip Hop instrumentals. Also, I am working on my guitar shred album which is very fun. So if you like guitar shreds, that's something to look forward to.
